You are a special soul, and I thank you for touching my heart. I learned so much from you about the impact of pain inflicted by the world, and emotional recovery. You were a beautiful girl, and I always longed to have known you as a kitten. I bet your were gorgeous with your brownish fur . . . if life had treated you better, I'm sure it would have shown.
As it was your spirit stayed strong and I thank you for loving me and for letting me love you. I know you will always look out for your Auntie Venita too.
I am so sorry we didn't have more time together, but I thank you for coming to be with me for the last year or so of your life. Although I am sorry you never got your perfect happy ending with your forever home, you know that I adopted you in my heart. You were my girl, and you always will be my girl. Thank you for trusting me enough to let down your guard a little bit. Thank you for showing me this acceptance by lying next to me. Thank you for following me everywhere.
I liked being near you, too. I hope I did right by you.
We help diabetic cats and their people. We support diabetic cats in their original and adoptive homes, rehome unwanted diabetic cats, and help to educate caregivers on the appropriate treatment of diabetic cats. We are part of a 501c3 (nonprofit) organization.
